It'd be nice. however, It would probably be a cold day in hell if the NIH actually did anything at all at this point, especially with the court case still up in the air. If us ACTC investors have had brass balls over the last year or two the NIH could be considered a bunch of eunuchs.

Anyone familiar with the definition of 'redefinition' in stemcellology lingo? Just my SWAG out of context, but it sounds like this could be good for ACTC.

CTY, I believe you are on to something. IMO the recent court case will give them the power, and the rationale to make the change for the future of hesc therapies. It is nothing new for this group to always be one step ahead of the rest of the investment community. Nice find CTY. I can wait a couple of weeks to have the NIH change the entire destiny and future of this company. We have so much to look forward to with this company in the very NEAR future. The waiting that investors are trying to be patient about and cope with is nothing compared to the wait Dr Lanza has had. He developed the blastomere technology years ago. The timing on the redefinition could not be juicier for investors.

Thanks for the vote of confidence stemdynasty... i think that with the recent news regarding the stem cell court case being overturned, its certainly possible the NIH would give the go ahead approval for redefinition. There is no guarantee that the court case will be overturned again against stem cells, so why not do it now while it is "legal" . This would be a great boost to ACTC, as well as many other stem cell companies out there trying to revolutionize mediicine.

While I am sure they are willing to change the definition, I do not think they want to do it while it is still under legal consideration. It can be very costly to entities to start a process then have the rules change in the middle of the game or the game completely ended. This requires a little more patience thats all. Just a practical thought lol

    Yes.

The lower court (Lamberth) approved an injunction request.

The appeals court then stayed the injunction.

The appeals court then vacated the injunction.

Now we're waiting to see what happens next.

If they did make the change, this news would impact our market almost immediately. CNN would surely report this.

I personally would hope they would just make the change now hoping the ruling in the courts does not turn negative. BOLD MOVES NIH!!!! However such a bold move might be taken as disrespectful to this judge and who knows how he would react.

NIH - About NIH - Advisory Committee to the Director

    Dear Rocky

I am hoping to finalize this today and have it posted on the ACD website. While there is a Stem Cell Working Group report on the agenda for Day 1, there will not be any discussion on the redefinition. I am sure you have already visited our stem cell site, but here is the link should you need it: NIH Stem Cell Information Home Page .

    Best wishes,

    Gretchen

Although it sux, i'm not disappointed as i didn't expect that NIH will do anything...

NIH had more then enough time to make the redefinition done, but there is something rotten and I don't believe it's because of the court trial....

Nothing pushes us up but trial data. Anything else is just a move in the right direction. September is the month I am assuming.
