pacman, Phase 2 was already approved when ACT acquired Mytogen in 2007. It would be great to see
the project partnered out somehow with little cost to ACT as Myoblast had very good results..

    (August 2007)
"Mytogen has successfully completed Phase I human clinical trials utilizing the myoblast therapy safely in over forty patients. The FDA has reviewed the "end-of-Phase I" data and allowed Mytogen to proceed with a Phase II human clinical trial. Upon closing the acquisition, Advanced Cell Technology plans to begin the Phase II human clinical trial for the treatment of heart failure in approximately 160 patients."

    Hey pac, Hey rocky,

Rabin addressed this at the meeting, he acknowledged the VERY GOOD Phase I results! But, also said is so many words that the program was not part of their core science/technology, although they still have hopes to partner out the program!

twenty2, yes, I am aware it isn't core and glad those kind of dollars needed to start Phase 2
won't be part of the plan with what we have going on. Let some partner, if possible, assume the costs
    and ACT retain a percentage..

rocky, I agree - whatever it takes to move the program forward! While I have your ear, rocky - maybe you can tell me if any other companies are much further along in their programs that are similar to Myoblast?

    Thanks, rocky!

There is one company that plans to start phase 2 in Winter 2011, or spring 2012. Can't remeber who it is off the top of my head. I'll see if I can come up with it.
Help pay for iCell: Click an ad, then click 2 links within that ad. Do that twice a day. Repeat daily!

twenty2, Because our Myoblast program has been on the shelf now for 3-4 years I honestly have not been
following this area very close. The site Rikker shared seems to be a good one. You can also plug "Myoblast"
into clinicaltrials.gov search and find a few others.
