First heard about ACT in 2008 through hotstockmarket, when I first dabbled in investing. At the time, I was obsessed with penny stocks and learned about the potential of stem cells and how undervalued all the companies in this sector were. Bought in on several different companies, including GERN, SCLL, STEM, PSTI, CBAI and of course ACTC.

While I've seen the dips down to 0.07 and lower, I was too chicken to pull the trigger. After all, stem cell research was still in its infancy and I didn't want to incur the wrath of the wife if I lost a good chunk of our savings.

I have since converted and am now a true believer of Lanza and his research. I'm fully focused on ACTC and am hoping to another several thousand shares before this thing eventually explodes.

After all, making money while helping save lives...what could be better?

I am too, is an avid fun of ACTC, I traded all my dead horse and kept buying ACTC, I could feel it in my bones, that who ever jump in first to buy this penny stock will be blessed...

Started plowing through biotechs in Jan. of 2011. Read about ACTC's interesting business-like practicality in approaching the stemcell market through a path of least resistance. The eyes have a notoriously low immunity reaction, as compared to other parts of the body. So...less chances of rejection, however slight that lessened chance is.Pulled the trigger in March, and then periodically thereafter...ouch this past summer...but stayed confident that the science was going to be right and continued making my periodic buys. My pps is at .1658 right now....and after a dilution this week....maybe more buys to bring that pps down even more.

    Smile stemcell believer

its been almost 2 years now, since I bought my shares thru my 401/ira at Fidelity Investment, I bought my shares at around .10 cents / share, I saw it bouncing around, from low to high in zigzag but I have little knowledge about stock price, they are like a stair that goes up only, as the time goes by, but I do believe with ACT that the sky is the limit, I have been following all the news about this company ever since. Now comes the exciting news by the media without mention of ACT that clinical trials came out very positive, but I know that already before the news came about, because of this website, in which i read all the chatter and blogs, I know somebody knows something is going on....thanks for accepting my membership....have a good day...

Found ACTC from coworker just over a year ago right after death of Bill in Dec. Found Icell not long after while going through dd and coming back ever since (ya’ll really have something special here)
Finally jumped in Nov 2011 and has been great show thus far. This is my first venture into the market outside of 401k and looks to be a fun first ride.

I picked up 1000 shares @ $1.08 along with 1000 shares of GERN & STEM just to keep this science on my radar. That was back in late 2005. I got went all in at $.07 when the news started breaking.

2007 disastrous surgery damaged retina. 2008 another specialist told this very healthy person that her life expectancy would not be such that she would ever see a stem cell cure. 2010 exceptionally different specialist told about ACTC to give hope, but when he learned patient is a small investor advised against investment. Patient invested/traded/invested,etc., of course.

    DonV,

I am enjoying this thread because we all have a story, and your kinda hit home. I woke up one morning and new that the way my finances were, I would be "lucky" if i could retire at 66. So I simply had to come up with a plan of action to cut that down a bit.

I had never played in the stock market, but decided to jump in the penny stock arena and look for Penny stocks in the Medical field that had at one time been in the dollars. I found 8 and one of them was ACTC. It was sitting around 17 cents at the time and had been as high as 8 dollars sometime in the past. I bought into about 5 slowly using coffee money, a couple hundred here, a couple of hundred there. Well I was on the google board when the suggestion hit to create a google group for people interested in ACTC. Feeed led that charge at the time. Based on a lot of insight from those original members, I sold everything else, and concentrated on ACTC.

My original goal was to just get to 40 thousand shares. Well I was not happy at that level and in 2009 while it was sitting around 7 cents, I picked up another 100,000 shares. Time went on, the ICELL site was created and more and more progress and news kept coming. I again found myself unhappy with the share count, so took some money out of my poor performing 401k and bought another 300,000 shares when it was again below 9 cents in December or very early January. The very day after the purchase it started climbing but of course we all know where it is now.

I have a pile of friends and family following me. I am right in the middle of my 18 posts - 18 months - Road to a million, which I do a post a month on, keeping the family and friends up to date.

To make a long story longer, I am all in, just like you. Today i feel just a little crazy with all this, but when it goes, I will look like some kind of genius. Till then, just call me Crazy Dave.

In December 2010, I heard about this stock on the Yahoo message board while following another company. After a few weeks of DD, i bought my first 10,000 at .18 for a Keough account. Since then, and so far, i have averaged 3 purchases a month. For every dollar I put in ACTC i put an equal amount in GE, MLP's and REIT's. So far, trying to be carefull but toying with idea of doubling position in ACTC.

Appreciate your kind words, it makes me a bit more sad fast forwarding to this present day. I am currently out of ACTC and invested in other stem stocks. Hopefully my way of thinking about ACTC will come to life again once everything gets cleared up by ACTC Management.

I came across Advanced Cell Technology by reading an article this month on Seeking Alpha. The title was "3 Speculative Biotech Stocks To Electrify Your Boring Portfolio". The author also did an interview with Gary Rabin about a month earlier, and I found the openness of the CEO and confidence in the technology very intriguing.

I already have some biotechnology investment experience with a Belgian company (ThromboGenics) that is soon expecting to gain FDA approval for its product candidiate Ocriplasmin to treat vitreomacular adhesion (VMA). With ACT also targetting eye diseases, and dry AMD in particular, I quickly felt comfortable buying some initial shares.

The thing is, I have a close relative who is suffering from dry AMD (luckily still in the early stages), so I am hopeful that ACT's RPE stem cell therapy may one day be approved, and cure or at least help that person. Therefore my involvement is partially from a patient-perspective, and partially as an investor.

After reading a lot about Dr. Lanza's scientific genius, I have since acquired a lot more shares. On the Yahoo! message boards I saw someone making a reference to iCELL. Once I started reading the forums here, I returned day after day. I highly appreciate the interesting discussions and useful insights from all contributors. I helps a lot in catching up with the company's history.
