Please for the benefit of the greater good of those in need, bring about the change in the FDA's protocol for the evaluation and approvals for Stem Cell research. The FDA is evaluating 21st century medicine and breakthroughs with 20th century processes.

Your former FDA Commissioner Andy von Eschenbach recently stated;

"Breakthrough technologies deserve a breakthrough in the way the FDA evaluates them. Take regenerative medicine. If a company can grow cells that repair the retina in a lab, patients who've been blinded by macular degeneration shouldn't have to wait years while the FDA asks the company to complete laborious clinical trials proving efficacy. Instead, after proof of concept and safety testing, the product could be approved for marketing with every eligible patient entered in a registry so the company and the FDA can establish efficacy through post-market studies."

The promise of regenerative medicine is here and now. With health care cost spiraling out of control and out of reach for so many millions of us, regenerative medicine and Stem Cell treatments have the potential to radically change the equation, and you are a big part of that. If the FDA is not part of the problem, then you must be part of the answer. It is time to act and think outside the box.
