    at $10,000 per eye!

Why in the world will you pay of it... if you do not expect it to work???????

    Efficacy is the cake!
And do you guys really expect Rabin to say 100%?
    Or was I born, yesterday?

    So What is the Icing?

CdC...two points that are of interest to me about this:
    1. It is indeed remarkable that a permanent disability can be reversed at an estimated $10K per eye. In the medical world, this is a bargain and one of the greatest medical values by any standard.
    2. We are seeing efficacy, with a cell survival rate of 10-15% at the current dose level. As cell survival rates are enhanced and dose level increases, we should all be very encouraged.

    Ceasar,
You are correct. We have safety and efficacy and I believe the consistant things are stopping the progression of the disease and in the majority some increase in visual acuity. We are now past a year with the first patients, have many patients that have shown improvement and of course they can compare progression and vision to the other eye. So icing, it is the stop of the disease and the cherry on top is the visual improvement.

I can't wait for all the details to come out in the future.

    Hi AMGuy

That 10-15% survival rate was a number that came out of their testing prior to the final configuration used in the Trials. I am not so sure that these are the actual estimates for the Trials itself.

The key point here is that significant and biologically validated visual acuity improvements have been statistically relevant by geographical region.

Given the optimum dose, I do not see why one can not make the minimum conclusion: That the injection of RPE Cells will arrest the progression of Dry AMD. This by itself is a home run!

Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man; two chicks at the same time, man; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money. What would you do?
Peter Gibbons: Besides two chicks at the same time?
    Lawrence: Well, yeah.
    Peter Gibbons: Nothing.
    Lawrence: Nothing, huh?
Peter Gibbons: I would relax, I would sit on my ass all day, I would do nothing.
Lawrence: Well, you don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Take a look at my cousin. He's broke, don't do nothing. (Office Space, 1999)

    Ceasar,

The icing in his context was the improved vision, improved vision in a trial that is not suppose to get to that till phase 3.

For me the Icing is the JV signing. Nothing less.

    Hey, Ceasar! Greetings, All!...
For Me, The Nuts About All This...Yes, The Nuts That Rest On The Whip Cream,...
Where The Cherry Sits On Top...The Nuts About All This...Is The ARREST Part...
While EFFICACY Is So Great...Can You Foresee A Future,...
    Because Of Early Intervention...
Where EFFICACY Becomes ___________, It's No Longer An Issue...

Because The Eye Disease Was ARRESTED,...
Before It Could Commit Major Crime!

    Gotta ARREST Them Early!...

Ya See The Future? Ya See The Nuts?!!
